RESOURCES / DURIX

Technical resources for industrial sawing.

Guides and troubleshooting material for band saw blades — the main line — with circular saw blades and band knives as extensions. Written for the people who select a blade, run it, and have to explain why a cut failed.

Two libraries carry most of the work.

Selection questions and cutting failures are the two reasons buyers and production engineers write to us. Both libraries are built around those — not around news.

01 / GUIDE

Technical Guides

Long-lived reference material: how a blade is matched to the material, the machine and the cutting condition, how the common grades differ, and what a correct break-in changes.

  • Band saw blade selection by material, machine and cutting condition
  • M42, M51 and carbide — where each grade fits, and where it does not
  • Tooth pitch and tooth form for different workpiece shapes and sizes
  • Break-in and the everyday operating parameters around it

02 / TROUBLESHOOTING

Troubleshooting

Symptom first, then possible causes, then the checks that separate them. Every issue follows the same order: what you see, what usually causes it, what to measure, and what we need from you to judge the case.

  • Blade breaking
  • Tooth stripping
  • Crooked cuts and blade wandering
  • Short blade life
  • Slow cutting and dull blades
  • Weld joint failure

05 / TECHNICAL ADVICE

Judgement before quotation.

A blade is specified against facts, not against a price list. These are the points we work through with you — and the details that let us answer quickly.

  1. Application matching

The blade is matched to your material, machine and cutting condition before anything is quoted.

  2. Problem diagnosis

Breakage, tooth stripping, wandering, short life and blunt cutting are investigated before a product is recommended.

  3. Sample and trial support

Sample or small-batch trials are benchmarked against the blade you run today, with the observation criteria agreed in advance.

  4. Supply, quality and delivery coordination

Specification, quantity, packing and marking are confirmed before shipment. OEM programmes are coordinated, not promised.

TALK TO DURIX

Send us the cut, not only the part number.

Material, machine, the blade you use today and what actually goes wrong — that is enough for a first technical answer.
